Finally after a few weeks, my painting for art foundations is complete. First we had to draw a proportionate drawing of two objects, scan them and make different sized copies of them, use a light table to trace it onto the larger sheet of paper, paint, line with sharpie, add a background and then spray and gloss. We had to stick to a color scheme with the objects, so that's why I couldn't make the stem and leaves of the roses green. With the background we were allowed to stray from the color scheme as long as it looked good.
In this picture, the painting is in an art show at my school for KIA (Kids in Action). KIA is basically a little showcase/school event that shows off what the kids in the district (from elementary to high school) do. It's my first year at the school since I transferred high schools so I had no clue what KIA was.
The painting is going to be entered into an art show at the end of May so I won't be able to take it home until then. I have another Painting that will be in an art show from April 27 - May 3 and the grand prize is 2 tickets to Washington D.C. for nationals. I honestly doubt I'll win, but who knows. I don't know what the prize for the art show that this painting will be in will be but I will update you guys when I find out.
